What is Business & Management?

Business education abroad is the fastest path to career acceleration. An MBA from a top school can double or triple your salary, open doors to MBB consulting, investment banking, and C-suite leadership. But business school admissions are intensely competitive — and strategy matters more than raw scores.

Beyond the traditional MBA, we guide students into MiM (Master in Management) programs for pre-experience candidates, specialized Master's in Finance or Marketing, and executive education. Each path serves different career stages and goals.

Our track record includes students at Wharton, Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, London Business School, INSEAD, HEC Paris, Columbia Business School, and every other top-10 MBA program globally. With 27+ years of experience, Dr. Karan Gupta understands what business schools look for at every level.

The Benefits of Business & Management

Discover how our expert guidance can transform your career journey

MBA vs MiM vs Specialized Masters

We help you determine whether an MBA (3+ years experience), MiM (pre-experience), or specialized masters (Finance, Marketing, Analytics) is right for your career stage.

GMAT/GRE Strategy

Strategic test preparation guidance — target scores, section priorities, and whether the test-optional wave helps or hurts your application.

Application Narrative & Essays

Business school essays are about career vision, not just achievement. We help you craft a compelling 'Why MBA + Why This School + Why Now' narrative.

Interview Preparation

Mock interviews simulating real business school interviews — behavioral, case-based, and team exercises used by top programs.

Scholarship Negotiation

Many business schools offer merit scholarships worth $20K-$100K+. We help you position for maximum financial aid and negotiate competing offers.

Post-MBA Career Planning

Understanding of recruiting timelines, consulting/banking/tech pathways, and how program choice affects career outcomes.

How Business & Management Works

1

Career & Profile Assessment

Evaluate your work experience, leadership, academic background, and career goals. Determine the right program type (MBA/MiM/MSF/etc.).

2

GMAT/GRE Preparation

Strategic test prep planning — target scores based on your profile and school targets. Some programs are test-optional.

3

School Selection & Strategy

Build a balanced list of 5-8 programs. Round 1 vs Round 2 timing. School visit strategy. Understand what each school values.

4

Application Development

Craft compelling essays (typically 2-4 per school), resume, and recommendation strategy. Each school requires a different approach.

5

Interview & Decision

Prepare for school-specific interview formats. Evaluate offers, scholarships, and career outcomes to make the final decision.

Dr. Karan Gupta on Business & Management

The biggest mistake Indian MBA applicants make is focusing only on GMAT scores. A 750 GMAT with a weak career story loses to a 710 with a compelling narrative. Business schools are building a cohort — they want diverse backgrounds, clear career vision, and demonstrated leadership, not just high scores.

MiM (Master in Management) is the best-kept secret for Indian graduates. HEC Paris MiM is ranked #1 globally and costs half of a US MBA, yet places graduates in the same MBB consulting firms. If you have 0-2 years of experience, MiM is often a better investment than waiting for MBA.

Round 1 matters. At most top MBA programs, Round 1 has the highest acceptance rate and the most scholarship money available. Applying in Round 2 or 3 significantly reduces your chances at highly selective schools.

Don't underestimate European business schools. LBS, INSEAD, HEC Paris, and IE University offer world-class MBA and MiM programs with more diverse cohorts, lower cost, and strong European/global career outcomes. The US isn't the only option.
