Arjun came to us during his Year 11 at GEMS Wellington International School, where he was doing the IB Diploma with Higher Level Maths, Physics, and Economics. His predicted scores were strong — 41/45 — but he was unsure whether to target engineering programmes in the US or the UK. His father, who runs a construction consultancy in Dubai, wanted him to consider the US for the breadth of its engineering programmes and the flexibility of the liberal arts model.

We worked with Arjun over eight months through virtual sessions. We helped him position his IB extended essay (on sustainable construction materials) as a central narrative in his application, connecting it to his father's business and his own internship experience at a Dubai engineering firm. We coached him through the specific supplemental essays for Penn Engineering and helped him articulate why Penn's dual-degree M&T programme was the right fit.

Arjun was admitted to Penn's School of Engineering and Applied Science with a merit scholarship covering 30% of tuition. He is now in his second year and interning with a robotics lab on campus.

Fatima was a British-curriculum student at Repton School Dubai, studying A-Levels in Government & Politics, History, and English Literature. Rohan was studying in the CBSE stream at Delhi Private School Dubai. His family had been in Dubai for over fifteen years, and while his academics were solid — 95% in his Class 12 boards — he didn't have the kind of extracurricular profile that US universities typically look for. His parents were also conscious about costs and preferred a destination with strong post-graduation work opportunities.

We helped Rohan identify Canada as the best fit for his goals. The University of Toronto's Rotman Commerce programme offered the academic rigour he wanted, a clear pathway to Canadian PR through the Post-Graduation Work Permit, and a large Indian community that would ease the transition. Sara had spent six years working in Dubai's financial sector — first at Emirates NBD and then at a boutique advisory firm in DIFC. She held a bachelor's degree from the American University of Sharjah and had always intended to pursue an MBA, but the timing never felt right. When she approached us, she was 29 and worried that her profile — strong in finance but lacking the startup or tech narrative that MBA programmes seem to favour — would hold her back.
