US Regular Decision deadlines have passed for most top schools. UK UCAS "Equal Consideration" deadline (Jan 29) is behind us. But UCAS Extra opens Feb 26, Canadian/European deadlines are ahead, and many US schools have rolling admissions.

Is it too late to apply for Fall 2027 admission?

Not necessarily. While US Early and Regular Decision deadlines have passed for top-tier schools, many Canadian, European, and Australian universities accept applications until March-April 2027. UK's UCAS Extra opens Feb 26 for students with no offers. Rolling admissions continue at many US state schools.

What is UCAS Extra and how does it work?

UCAS Extra typically opens late February 2027 for students who applied by the January equal-consideration deadline but received no offers (or declined all offers). Should I take a gap year if I missed deadlines?

Do I need SAT/ACT scores for US universities?

Many universities are now test-optional. However, strong SAT/ACT scores can strengthen your application and improve scholarship chances. For late applications, test-optional policies work in your favor if you haven't taken tests yet.

Can I still get scholarships if I apply late?

Merit scholarship deadlines have largely passed, but need-based financial aid is often still available. Some Canadian and European universities offer automatic merit awards based on grades. Country-specific scholarships (DAAD for Germany, Chevening for UK) have their own timelines.
