Southampton does NOT interview for most undergraduate programmes — admissions are UCAS-based. Exceptions: Medicine (MMI format), some Nursing/Healthcare programmes, and programmes with portfolio requirements. Southampton is a research-intensive Russell Group university with particular strengths in Engineering, Computer Science, and Oceanography. For postgraduate taught programmes, most admit on application; PhD applicants are interviewed by supervisors.
Duration
Medicine MMI: approximately 60 minutes. Healthcare interviews: 20-30 minutes. PhD interviews: 20-30 minutes.
