IELTS Exam Dates 2024

The Computer-delivered IELTS exam format will be offered throughout the week, providing candidates with the flexibility of three daily sessions. This expanded availability aims to accommodate the high demand for the test, except for public holidays in the respective state. Meanwhile, the IELTS paper-delivered test will be conducted 48 times annually or up to four times monthly, predominantly scheduled on Thursdays and Saturdays. IELTS Registration

IELTS operates on a first-come-first-serve basis, allowing test-takers to register for the exam on the official IELTS website or through authorised test centres. The registration process typically opens well in advance of the test date, and securing a preferred test slot is based on the order of registration. The fees are INR 16,250. However, it's advisable to check the latest fee information on the official IELTS website or through authorised channels. The authorization for IELTS test centres comes from the collaborative efforts of three organisations: the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English. These organisations work collectively to ensure the credibility and standardisation of the test globally. Cancellations & Refunds

IELTS Cancellation Fee:

Candidates facing exceptional circumstances such as serious medical conditions, bereavement, or military service are required to contact the IELTS test centre to initiate a cancellation request before the test or within five calendar days after the test date if they were unable to attend. To be eligible for a transfer, proof of the circumstance must be provided, and the test centre will assess each case individually before making a decision. The final determination rests with the IELTS test centre.

For cancellations made more than five weeks before the test date, a refund will be issued, but a 25% administrative fee will be deducted. Cancellations within the five weeks preceding the test date will not be eligible for a refund. Failure to appear for the test is also considered a cancellation with no refund.

Candidates have the option to request a transfer to another IELTS test date at least five weeks before the original test date. However, the allocation of the next test date is at the sole discretion of the centre and is subject to availability. Please note that a transfer incurs an additional charge of INR 3,150.

In the event of cancellations from the test centre due to circumstances beyond their control, candidates will be informed as early as possible. They will be given the choice of a full refund or a transfer to a future IELTS test date at no extra cost, depending on their preference.

IELTS Reschedule Fee:

To reschedule your test date, kindly submit a request for a test day transfer at least five weeks before your initially booked test date, accounting for the cancellation/postponement fee. Ensure that the newly selected test date falls within three months of the original date. A nominal administrative charge of INR 3,300, inclusive of all taxes, is applicable for processing the test date transfer.

IELTS Revaluation Fee:

Candidates dissatisfied with their IELTS results have the option to request a revaluation, known as "Enquiries on Results (EOR)," wherein their IELTS test will be re-marked. The fee for IELTS Revaluation is INR 12,200, inclusive of all taxes. It is important to note that candidates will be eligible for a full refund if their IELTS score is revised to higher band scores.

How to Apply for IELTS Exam Revaluation:

Applicants must submit their application for EOR online through their candidate login section; physical (offline) applications will not be accepted. Test takers must raise this request within six weeks of their test date. Candidates have the option to request a re-mark for one or more parts of their test, with the fee remaining the same regardless of the number of sections selected. The head office will notify you of the re-mark results within 21 days of receiving the complete exam material and documents.
